Buffalo defending her dead cub | Büffelkuh verteidigt ihr totes Junges
Buffalo defending her dead cub For now, two hyenas fighting for the dead body of a buffalo jung. An almost amusing scene how the fat bite changed back from right to left. Suddenly approaches the mother of the perished animal and defended the remains against the squabbling scavengers. Stories like this - experienced in the Maasai Mara ... |

Giraffes mating | Giraffen Paarung
Anzeige |
Giraffes mating Point you might laugh, but please not too loud: We explain why the mating of the giraffe looks so funny and acts apparently quite uncomfortable. For what makes a strange appearance for us, is quite comfortable posture for the animals. The neck of the giraffe is exceptionally long - we already know. As with almost all mammals have the cervical spine nevertheless only seven cervical vertebrae, but they are greatly extended with the giraffe. The neck is held by a very strong single chord - to hold the head in the upright position. So to speak: in a stiff hibernation. To move the head down, example for drinking, the giraffe need muscle work. For a giraffe is therefore not the neck upright holding exhausting - special tilting it! If the animals mate, therefore, they need a lot of power. Well explained by self why the act looks so uncomfortable but for the animals resembles a relaxed pose ... |
